Ashlee Michot

Ashlee Michot lives in an unincorporated area of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana called La Prairie des Femmes. She photographs and writes about her home and the surrounding towns where French is still spoken in everyday activities and over the airwaves on the radio. The foggy, inimitable beauty of southwest Louisiana comes through in all of her images.

Kellie Grengs

Photographer, costume and graphic designer Kellie Grengs lives in New Orleans, and last week she curated our Instagram feed to document Grand Isle, a barrier island in Louisiana that is home to a small community. It is precariously perched in harm's way during Hurricane season, yet it maintains its reputation as a remote resort town and famous sport-fishing hub.
